How long does a scan take on site?
Typically 1–3 hours for a standard residential build, depending on size and number of levels. We confirm timing in your booking call so there are no surprises on site.
When is the right stage to capture?
Pre-plaster — ideally after all rough-in trades have completed but before batts or insulation are installed. This gives full line-of-sight to plumbing, electrical conduit, and structural elements. We'll advise on the optimal window for your build.
What exactly do I receive?
A permanent, browser-based navigable 3D record — no app or software required. Share it with your site manager, solicitor, or insurer via a single link. The record never expires and is accessible from any device.
Pre-plaster or handover — which do I need?
Both. The pre-plaster record is your defect liability protection. We also offer an as-built handover scan at practical completion — useful for owners, property managers, and future tradespeople. Many builders use both scans together.
Does it help with subcontractor disputes?
Yes. The timestamped record clearly shows the state of works at time of capture — who installed what, where it runs, and what condition it was in. Particularly valuable when managing multiple subcontractors across a project.
